I grew up in rural Tennessee without access to swimming pools and lessons available to people in urban settings.  Additionally, my mother was terrified of water.  Thus, growing up we were taught to fear the water.  As an adult, I have tried lessons in the past but gave up.  However, I love to be near the water and my favorite vacations always involve a beach.  I recently started swimming lessons and after only two sessions I have achieved more than in a previous 6-week session.  I have decided to embrace being uncomfortable to move me past the fear to what I really want.  To enjoy the water and fully participate in water activities instead of sitting on the sidelines.  I am also taking this same attitude with my career.  Starting my business has me outside of my comfort zone, but I realize that real growth requires discomfort.  So I embrace life outside of my comfort zone!
